I recently purchased a vehicle (about 2 weeks ago). Today the dealership called and said they need more?

information about my employment. I have already signed the papers and was approved and everything. Why are they requesting additional information AFTER I signed papers and gave them a down payment? (This was for a brand new car)

Thanks

When you buy a car and sign the papers and all it's a "conditional approval". They think you meet the criteria set forth by the lender. There is still the issue of the lender ACTUALLY VERIFYING the information. It's typical, if you didn't lie on the application, you should have nothing to worry about. Usually a formality.

Hello,

I wouldn't sweat it, give them the info they are asking for.

It could just be some minor oversight on their part.
Reply:The lender is just verifying your information submitted on the application. If it's just information they are seeking ( and you didn't fudge on any financials) you should be fine. If they start asking for more money, then I'd start to worry.
