I am planning to buy my 1st car next month or so. My budget is Rs 5-5.5Lacks.?

I stay in Bangalore and I would mainly drive with my family on weekend in the city. Request all members here to let me know which is a suitable car. Looks matter to me as well as mileage. I had 3 cars in my mind .... Get Prime GVS 1.1, Ford Ikon, Chehevrolet Yuva. Please suggest if my choice is correct or there are better options.


Note - I do not like the looks of Swift so its not in my list.

Dear Friend, it is not the right time to go for a family car, as the petrol is sky rocketing, adding with maintenance and also you have clearly said it is only for a week end drive purpose. so take the help of cabs / travels for the same do not invest in Car, put the same in FD and get interest and use the interest for your Travel / week end purpose. any how it is my suggestion. inflation is soaring daily. think practically. do not get discouraged by my answer.

looks like the Hyundai Prime has the most options and its the least ugly. Hyundai's are good cars thats what i would pick. If you guys have a toyota corolla equivelent or a Honda Civic Equivelent those are two very reliable and fuel efficent cars (we call the Yuva the Aveo and the icon a Focus)

Reply:In my opinion the mileage of cars are also a major factor in buying cars so if you go for a smaller car, the getz prime will be an option. But if u want to consider space and want to buy a bigger car , i think hyundai accent and ford ikon are at par.





If u wanted to save some money u could have also have considered a swift diesel.
