Can someone with a suspended license co sign for a car? I don't know if varies from state to state but I live in Texas.
Suspended license/Co signer?
It's the driver they are more concerned about... you would be the primary owner... the co-signer is only involded if you don't pay.
Some dealership will want to make a copy of the co-signer's license, and unless it has been branded to say "suspended" they will not even take it into consideration. If it does, they may require an affidavit stating that they are not out on bail or something like that to where they would not be able to pay for the car if you default on the loan.
Suspended license/Co signer?
The person buying the car can have a suspended license. The dealer dont check that, So to answer your question yes they can. They are not buying the car there just using there credit.

The short answer is No.
You as a Cosignor will be listed on the Title of the vehilce....and to be titled on a Vehicle you have to have current DL and Insurance.
The Lender will require the DL and Insurance Info as well...and from what I understand they do verify wether or not the License is current at time of funding.
You may want to talk to the Lender directly and see what they say....but Im sure there is not much wiggle room there.

Reply:I am pretty sure they can,, even if they are suspended they still have a drivers license number to go by,, But if they had there drivers license taken away from them than he or she
will have no proof of there license number
The only reason they need the other persons drivers license
number is, 1 if they drive the car then that means there license
would have to be good also. #2 if you default on your loan then they will have the information and they will go after the co-signer to pay for the rest of the loan.
Like you said it does very from state to state..
Call a different loan company and ask them......b.Jerry30
